Nine teams took to the course on Friday 6th September for the PPS annual golf day.
Unfortunately, the golfers weren’t the only ones driving – so was the rain! It didn’t dampen spirits though as staff, suppliers and customers set off at Crow Nest Park Golf Club in Brighouse.
After 18 holes the 36 players headed back to the clubhouse for lunch and the prize giving ceremony presented by Ian Harrison, PPS Managing Director.
The individual winner was (yet again!) Matthew Robinson. Achieving nearest the pin was Alan Burkhill joint with Mark Gledhill, while Peter Odell struck out for the longest drive award. The winning team comprised of Mark Gledhill, Paul White, Peter Odell and Bill Beevers. Steve Robinson took home this years Dave Deakin Memorial Trophy.
PPS founder Gary Whitaker was presented with an award for 28 years of loyalty to Atlas Copco by their General Manager, Alexander Pavlov.
As is tradition, our raffle on the day raised money for Overgate Hospice, this year totalling £380 donated. The hospice based in Elland provides care for people in Calderdale, as well as support for family and carers.
“It was fantastic to get everyone together for a round of golf again this year and great to be able to support Overgate Hospice while doing so. I was proud to be presented with the Atlas Copco award for loyalty – we have achieved quite a lot over the last 28 years working with them!”
Gary Whitaker, PPS Founder
Thanks go to Atlas Copco for their continued support with trophies, prizes and match day golf balls. Thanks also to Camozzi for their donation of match day golf balls and Parker for their raffle prize.
Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to everyone for taking part. See you on the green next year!
