    Nitrogen Generators

On-site nitrogen generation versus bottled or liquid supply

Traditionally, N2 is supplied in individual bottles, bottle banks or liquid and is only available in the highest purity (99.999%) which is often overkill for most applications. In addition to the cost of the N2, there are high transport costs, rental charges, boil off losses from liquid tanks, unused N2 being returned in bottles due to a low pressure and constantly escalating wholesale prices.

We have been working with a number of companies who are taking control of their nitrogen supply by moving to on-site generation as an alternative to a bottled or liquid supply.

Key benefits of on-site nitrogen generation

    • Reduce costs
    • No delivery charges
    • Removes health and safety risks associated with deliveries
    • Reliable supply of nitrogen
    • Long service life
    • No boil off losses
    • Less wastage from returning bottles part full

Investing in an on-site nitrogen generator can save you money and ensure a more flexible, continuous supply, including nitrogen made through the night for consumption during the day. It will also save you time, as you won’t have to halt production to change over gas bottles or allocate staff to deal with deliveries.

    Nitrogen generation for your industry

Nitrogen is used for back pressure to propel liquids through a pipeline or create a modified atmosphere, for example for food preservation or in breweries. It’s also found in a wide range of products, from anaesthetics and antibiotics to fertiliser and explosives.

Many industries need a reliable supply of nitrogen, including:

    • Chemical
    • Construction
    • Electronics
    • Food and drink
    • Glass and ceramics
    • Laser cutting
    • Pharmaceutical and healthcare
    • Plastic
    • Steel

    Experts in on-site nitrogen generation

Our nitrogen experts have extensive experience in nitrogen generation and technologies. As an Atlas Copco Authorised Distributor we supply and install market leading equipment.

Simply get in touch and one of our engineers will carry out a site visit at a convenient time for you. After assessing your current equipment and usage, they will be able to advise you on the best solution for your application from the Atlas Copco on-site nitrogen generators seen below.

Atlas Copco Membrane on-site nitrogen generators (NGMs, NGM, NGM+)

These membrane generators use dried, compressed air to generate a reliable on-site nitrogen supply by using proprietary membrane separation technology. Typically used in low flow applications, these systems provide the most cost-effective solutions. Membrane applications include; micro breweries, modified atmosphere packaging, explosion prevention/fire suppression and blanketing and purging.
