From 29 May 2002, The Pressure Equipment Directive became obligatory throughout the European Union.

    Pressure Systems Regulations Guide

The new Directive arises from the European Community’s programme for the elimination of technical barriers to trade within the European Union by way of harmonising national laws of the member states regarding design, manufacture, testing and conformity assessment of pressure equipment and assemblies of pressure equipment.

These regulations now supersede “The Pressure Systems & Transportable Gas Container Regulations 1989” statutory Instrument 2169, which was the required conformity standard in the UK.

It is mandatory for a company to have in place a Written Scheme of Examination covering pressurised equipment, which should be available for inspection by the HSE at any time.

PPS is highly qualified to discuss your compressed air system, give advice and, if required, we will arrange a free survey and a very competitive quotation to help you comply with the Regulations.
